Hello TBF readers!
Do you love TBF? Do you love volunteering? Do you wish TBF and volunteering were put together like a snow day and a good book? Your wish is my command!
This year, the 12th Annual Greater Rochester Teen Book Festival will be held on May 20th, 2017. TBF will host 27 amazing YA authors and one YA narrator this year. This wonderful event connects thousands of readers throughout the Rochester area and beyond.
We need volunteers to help make the day magical. There are volunteer positions for both teens (grades 6-12), college students, and adults. Volunteers positions include being an author assistant, festival greeters, festival guides, and sales associates at the TBF merchandise booth. Volunteers must work a minimum of a two-hour shift. For those who are available all day may apply to be author assistants.
All interested volunteers MUST attend a mandatory training meeting at Nazareth College on Tuesday evening, May 16th from 6:00-8:00 pm. You are responsible for your own transportation to and from the mandatory training meeting.
Are you interested? If yes, what are you waiting for?! The TBF Volunteer Registration is open from February 15-April 1. Click HERE to sign-up.
If you need any more reassurance about volunteering for TBF, check the blog soon. Some of our TBF bloggers have volunteered in the past and want to share their experiences with YOU!
That is all for today! Happy reading!
Miranda
